One such brand that has rapidly gained popularity with its impressive line of air purifiers is Rabbit Air. Founded in 2002 and based in California, Rabbit Air has in recent years dedicated their time, energy, and resources to perfecting the air purifiers that they produce. Their hard work and dedication allowed them to become one of the fastest growing companies in the U.S.

Rabbit Air specializes in manufacturing powerful, feature-packed, easy-to-use air purifiers as well as replacement filters for these units. Although they’ve yet to produce more budget-friendly models, their incredibly popular existing line showcases air purifiers that are definitely worth their price. In this article, we explore the air purifiers that Rabbit Air has to offer and find out what makes them such valuable additions to any home.

The Rabbit Air MinusA2 series includes Rabbit Air’s most cutting-edge, high performance air purifiers yet. The first one they developed for this series is the SPA-700A, which was the first in the air purifier industry in its ability to be mounted on a wall.

The highlight of the MinusA2 series, apart from its sleek design, is the customizable filter that you can choose to complete the 6-stage air purification system. There are 4 filters from which you can choose: Germ Defense, Toxin Absorber, Pet Allergy, and Odor Remover. All these filters target specific air pollutants and improve the overall efficiency of the air purifier. Another great thing about the MinusA2 series is that their filters can last up to 2 years so you won’t have to change filters as often.

Aside from its filter system, the SPA-700A is also capable of covering a large room up to 700 sq. ft. in size. There are 5 fan speeds to choose from, all of which produce very little noise and can be controlled using a remote control. The SPA-700A also has a filter life indicator and an air quality indicator which monitors air quality and adjusts the fan speed accordingly. Oddly enough, even with all these great features, the SPA-700A does not have a programmable timer. Unfortunately, all these features also come with a hefty price tag. Retailing at more that $500, the SPA-700A is definitely an investment you’ll want to think about before purchasing. Replacement filters are also relatively expensive in the long-run especially if you plan on running the air purifier around the clock. Its ionizer also produces small amounts of ozone, but is well within the limits set by government agencies. Overall, the SPA-700A is a great, high-end air purifier packed with a ton of useful features that make using it a breeze.

The RabbitAir MinusA2 SPA-780A is a console-type air purifier that has an impressive 6-stage filtration composed of a pre-filter, medium filter, BioGS HEPA filter, carbon filter, another filter of your choosing, and an ionizer. Pros

  • Larger coverage
  • Customizable filters
  • Can be mounted on the wall
  • Quiet
  • Fan speed adjusts automatically depending on air quality
  • Remote control

The Rabbit Air SPA-780A is one of the latest air purifiers in the MinusA2 series along with the SPA-780N, which has WiFi capabilities. It is almost completely identical to the SPA-700A in terms of features, system, and appearance, but packs a more powerful punch.

First off, the SPA-780A has a wider room coverage and is able to cover up to 815 sq. ft. of space at 2 air changes per hour. It also has the highest airflow rates among all the Rabbit Air purifiers, which means it’s able to do its job faster and more efficiently. Aside from these differences, however, the SPA-780A has more or less the same features as the SPA-700A: filter life indicator, air quality indicator, remote control, etc. It’s not as quiet as the SPA-700A, but is still quieter compared to other brands. You also have customizable filters, a remote control, and the ability to mount it to the wall. What the SPA-780A lacks, though, is a timer and, retailing at almost $600, the SPA-780A is easily the most expensive air purifier on this list. It also produces trace amounts of ozone, which is really nothing to be worried about as it stays within safety limits set by government agencies.

With all things considered, the SPA-780A is definitely in its own league and is a force to be reckoned with. If you don’t mind the $600 price tag and are looking for a powerful unit to deal with air pollutants at home, then the SPA-780A is the air purifier for you.

The Rabbit Air SPA-550A is a stand-alone console air purifier with a 4-stage air purification system consisting of a pre-filter, BioGS HEPA filter, carbon filter, and ionizer. It is capable of performing 2 air changes per hour for a room up to 550 sq. ft. in size.

Pros

  • Large coverage
  • Affordable replacement filters
  • Very quiet
  • Fan speed adjusts automatically depending on air quality
  • Remote control
  • Highly energy efficient
  • Up to 3 years filter life span
  • Attractive design

Cons

  • Expensive (upfront)
  • Produces small amounts of ozone
  • No timer

Features

  • 4-Stage Air Purification System
  • Filter Life Indicator
  • Air Quality Indicator
  • Ionizer
  • Automatically Adjusting Interface Lights
  • 5 Fan Speeds
  • 5-year Warranty

The Rabbit Air BioGS 2.0 series is the first developed by Rabbit Air. The first one in this series is the SPA-550A, a console type air purifier with a powerful 4-stage air purification system consisting of a pre-filter, BioGS HEPA filter, carbon filter, and ionizer. Retailing near $370, the SPA-550A is the cheapest Rabbit Air air purifier yet, though it is still not as affordable as other air purifiers in the market.

The SPA-550A has the performance and features one would expect from an air purifier at that price point. As its name would imply, the SPA-550A is capable of removing air pollutants in a large room up to 550 sq. ft. in size. Its air purification system, although not as sophisticated as the one in the MinusA2 series, is sufficient to remove common household air pollutants like pollen, pet dander, dust mites, mold, odors, and smoke. The SPA-550A also has a filter life indicator and air quality indicator which monitors air quality and adjusts the fan speed accordingly.

The SPA-550A also has affordable, long-life filters that can last up to 3 years, which makes this model more economical and low maintenance. It’s also highly energy efficient, consuming the least amount of energy among all Rabbit Air air purifiers, and makes very little noise even on the highest setting. It can be controlled from a distance, too, thanks to its handy remote control, but it does lack a programmable timer.

The SPA-550A’s price tag might also be intimidating, but it’s definitely worth it in the long run. It’s capable of easily removing even the most stubborn air pollutants for a large amount of space and for a small amount of energy.

The Rabbit Air SPA-625A is the later version of the SPA-550A, capable of covering a larger space of 625 sq. ft. at 2 air changes per hour. The SPA-625A features the same 4-stage air purification system consisting of a pre-filter, BioGS HEPA filter, carbon filter, and ionizer.

Pros

  • Large coverage
  • Affordable replacement filters
  • Quiet
  • Fan speed adjusts automatically depending on air quality
  • Remote control
  • Highly energy efficient
  • Up to 3 years filter life span
  • Attractive design

Cons

  • Expensive (upfront)
  • Produces small amounts of ozone
  • No timer

Features

  • 4-Stage Air Purification System
  • Filter Life Indicator
  • Air Quality Indicator
  • Ionizer
  • Automatically Adjusting Interface Lights
  • 5 Fan Speeds
  • 5-year Warranty

The latest addition to the BioGS 2.0 series from Rabbit Air is the SPA-625A. Like the first two air purifiers we reviewed, the SPA-625A and the SPA-550A are almost completely identical in terms of features and appearance, save for a few differences in performance. For example, the SPA-625A is capable of covering a larger area of up to 625 sq. ft. and also has a slightly higher airflow rate. Other than these differences, however, the SPA-625A has the exact same features and filtration system as the SPA-550A. What’s great is that they use the same, long-life, affordable replacement filters that can last up to 3 years.

It also has 5 fan speeds which you can choose from the included remote control. In addition, it will automatically change fan speeds depending on the air quality in the room. You can monitor the air quality using the air quality indicator and make sure filters remain clean using the filter change indicator. Unfortunately, retailing at almost $400, the SPA-625A still falls on the more expensive side. In addition, its ionizer still produces small amounts of ozone which are really nothing to worry about since they stay well within safety limits. Overall, the SPA-625A is a good option for those looking to clean the air in a large area and need a unit that is powerful enough to take care of those pesky air pollutants.

Final Thoughts

As you may have noticed, Rabbit Air seems to be following a formula for how they design and manufacture their air purifiers. Their air purifiers are all very similar in terms of features and appearance and vary only slightly in terms of performance. One thing’s for sure, Rabbit Air air purifiers don’t come cheap. If you’re in the market for some powerful air purifiers and have a big budget for it, then the Rabbit Air brand is one that won’t disappoint you. In our opinion, the best one from Rabbit Air is the SPA-700A, as its strong reviews and high ratings serve as a testament to its amazing abilities. It’s powerful, quiet, versatile, and it can look good hanging on your wall as well.
